Throughout Scripture and history, purple has been connected with kings, queens, honor, and positions of great value. Purple dye was rare and precious, making it a color associated with royalty and distinction. When we see purple, we are reminded that we belong to God's family and that our worth comes from Him alone.
Purple garments were often worn by kings and rulers as symbols of authority and honor.
"And they clothed him in a purple cloak, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on him." Mark 15:17
Even in mockery, those around Jesus recognized purple as the color of royalty.
God does not see His daughters as forgotten, insignificant, or unworthy. He calls us chosen, beloved, and precious.
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

When people hear the word crown, they often think of power, status, or position. But at Purple Crowns, the crown represents something much deeper. Our crown is not a symbol of pride. Our crown is not a symbol of superiority. Our crown is a reminder of who we belong to. Because of Christ, we have been adopted into God's family. We are not striving to earn His love—we are living from the security of being His beloved daughters. Just as earthly crowns identify members of a royal family, our Purple Crown serves as a reminder that our identity is found in Christ.
Through Jesus, we are adopted into God's family and given a new identity.
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

It is a reminder of the truth of God's Word and the identity we have through Jesus Christ. In a world that often defines women by their appearance, achievements, failures, or circumstances, Purple Crowns points us back to what God says about us.
God's love for us is not based on what we do, but on who He is. Before we could ever earn it, Christ demonstrated His love for us through His sacrifice on the cross. Whether we are walking through seasons of joy or hardship, God's love remains constant.
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1
